Today's update
I planned on heading over to the SWW computer lab this afternoon to work on some more code, and to take home the Dell TechKnow program computer, the latter of which Larry basically said I could do.
Neither happened, but I was hardly nonproductive.
I have a Priority #1 and a Priority #2 for the rest of this school year.
Priority #1 is making sure I don't muck up on the graduation requirements, and that consist mainly of finishing my Senior project properly.
Priority #2 consists of finishing the Eagle Scout requirements. Sure, I techically have until I'm 18 (January 2008) to do this, but I'd much rather get it done - I have some leeway if some crap hits the fan this time around, and who knows what I'll have to be busy with in the fall? Furthermore, there's an additional post-Eagle medal called the Eagle Palm that requires a minimum of 6 months since you made Eagle. I want one of those.
Priority #2 consists mainly of completing the Eagle Scout service project. Mine is, as some of you may be aware, collecting books and building bookcases for School 45. The idea comes from Stephanie, my Community Service supervisor at the center For Youth.
Thus, today, I went to the Center For Youth staff meeting to discuss my book-drive project with the whole CFY staff, and ask them for help with it.
Stephanien let me into the staff meeting a bit later than I expected, and there was an important discussion or two to have afterwards.
Larry was out sick today, and the sub was given generic instructions, so that meant no TechKnow computer.
