Computer Problems

Well, I've recognized that April and May are "senior project crunch time".
I am doing a computing-heavy senior project. My home computer(s) are either not working, or, if so, barely. Can you say "Murphy's law"?

Thus, it's at best a pain in the ass to get at my project files, although I did manage to get into Windows safe mode long enough to send some of the more important ones off to Gmail. At least, I can have them accessible when I get "back on my virtual feet".

The public library system probably isn't much interested in having me install stuff on their systems (Python/IDLE), and I am NOT going to attempt to write Python code in Notepad. :)

There's a limited time in which I have a chance to use school computers. (although I did finally reach the point where I planned an after-school work run, complete with parental pick-up at about 5) That aforementioned afternoon jaunt was no worse, in terms of productivity, than any other time I sit down at a computer atleast planning to get work done. :D

I may have to resort to wiping the computers and starting them from scratch again, which I is why I really wanted to, and was really pleased that I did, get a chance to "bail out" those files. The sister with a large music collection - another issue. :)

Neither of our computers is booting up normally, but they have at times gotten into Safe Mode just fine (which is the method I'm using to post this), but that can prove to be an unreliable workaround. Time to call "Cousin Pat" tech support.

Uh, when I buy a laptop for college purposes, it's gonna be a fricken Apple, mmkay? I've had enough of this Windows security stuff...Not gonna toss the current machines, but still.
