-Late October- - Perparations for First Committee Meeting-

As I discussed in my last post, most of my recent Senior Project work has dealt with setting up the committee meeting, not writing actual code or doing research. [unfortunately, I’m a procrastinator…more about that later. : ) ]

Lee not being able to get to SWW before 4 was just as good for me, since I take my afternoon classes (AP US History and AP Economics) at another school building, and I’m not done with that until 3 and I’d have to walk to SWW myself. Confirmed date/time with Nick and Lee by email. Several times. Larry and Ken, I thought. Maybe not…Ken claimed I didn’t confirm the date/time officially, or something- he had a school district meeting to go to.

I was a bit unpleasantly surprised, but well – OK. According to the senior project handbook, you can pull off the 1st committee meeting with 5 members. I give DJ a final reminder during class on Monday.

Murphy’s Law is evidently well-enforced in these parts. From what I understood, DJ’s b*tch of a boss made a short-notice change to his work schedule for Monday afternoons.

That can’t be held against ME, I thought…Oh well, I thought, I guess I’d have to fill in DJ as well as (at the same time as?) Ken. Larry was appraised of the situation, and he decided to draft a temporary substitute. OK, somewhat kosher.

I will keep my promise, half-made in jest, to supply Nick with coffee. I’m partial to caffeine myself (albeit in sweet, fizzy form); I understand.
