Wow, that LJ article is pretty old. Just enough flame-bait to keep the comments rolling in though. Even after 6 years!

Sometimes I'm not sure about pushing new programmers towards Python, since they might never want to try something else. Good thing Python will mostly get you where you are going.

Just remember that most good programmers know many languages and use several regularly.
