The Journey of a New Computer Programmer

A longtime computer-literate who wants to learn "real" programming language(s).

I’m a high school senior at the Rochester, NY, School Without Walls. This entails a Senior Project. Yay.
Thanks to the interest I have in the computer world, I’ve long considered a project related to computer programming. Recently, those ideas have begun to take more concrete shape, as my senior year has actually started.

The “Project’ involves a senior-project committee consisting of two staff members (including your advisor), two non-senior students (as other seniors would be busy with their own project) and two community experts. [This ‘SWW’ at least, believes in using the local community as a learning resource.]

In fact, it was at the suggestion of one of these community people, Lee Harr, that I start a blog about this experience. More on my committee members later.
